This apartment building is located at the junction of 1 Allenby St., Tel Aviv, opposite the Promenade. A promenade that has been closed off for vehicles of any type making a very nice and pleasant area to take a walk and perhaps do some shopping. Nahalat Shiva has some art shops, Judaica shops and Jerusalem memorabilia shops, as well as some of Jerusalem’s nicest restaurants and bars (i.e. “Gabrielle”, “Rimon”, “Eldad” and “O’Connels”).
Talpiot outlets
Talpiot is a very big industrial area with may shopping malls and outlet shops. If you are looking for some outlet shopping – this will be the place for you. In Talpiot you will find “Beit Hadar Mall” – a beautifully designed 1 floor mall with a small selection of shops, “Lev Talpiot” – a two story outlet shopping mall, with outlet shops for major Israeli fashion stores, and many other shops and outlets on the streets on Talpiot. Talpiot may not give you the most pleasant shopping experience, but it is filled with good outlet shops to discover
Shuk Mahne Yehuda (Mahne Yehuda Market)
The liveliest and most colourful fresh food market in Jerusalem and some say in all of Israel. The market is located on Jaffa street, and is also what used to be a poor neighbourhood and is now becoming a trendy student neighbourhood. I think the shuk (shuk = market) is worth a visit if only for its so Jerusalem, so-connected nature, and the colourful people (and merchandize) in it.
